What’s In Store For Today: China’s Flashing

  • New Zealand GDP q/q (survey 0.3%, prior 1.1%) @22:45 GMT.
  • Fed’s Fisher speaks on economy and policy in N.Y. @ 23:00 GMT.
  • Japan Trade Balance (survey -0.37tln. prior -0.33tln.) @23:50 GMT.
  • Chinese HSBC Flash Manufacturing PMI ( prior 47.60) @02:30 GMT.
  • Japan All Industries Activity Index m/m (survey -0.5%, prior 0.2%) @04:30 GMT.

China Flash PMI will take center stage tonight as the market will look for any additional signs that growth continues to slow. The same can be said for trade numbers coming out of Japan especially after the increase in their asset purchase program last night. I’m sure the BOJ and MOF are not at all happy about USD/YEN back down in the low 78.00’s.

Good Luck Today.
