Not much on the agenda for today except for Gerry’s poll on USD/JPY . Hopefully we can test the exporter offers at 80.00 and get him all excited again .
We still have another week of the summer doldrums left, so we should expect a narrow trading range for tonight . AUD/USD may provide some interest if it can break through the 1.0400/1.0380 support level . We have the RBA release of the August minutes on Tuesday . EUR/USD consolidating here around 1.2350 with some support 1.2280/1.2300 and selling above at 1.2400/20. There will be a few eurozone meetings later this week , the Merkel-Samaras on August 24th being the highlight for now. Of course Samaras-Juncker, Hollande-Merkel, Hollande-Samaras meetings look more like a round robin , single elimination tournament .
