Klaas Knot is President of the Dutch central bank De Nederlandsche Bank and an European Central Bank Governing Council member
He spoke with Dutch TV (Nieuwsuur) on Friday evening, speaking on ECB policy:
- "If we carry on with this policy for too long, that is absolutely a potential danger"
- "The difficulty is that one cannot determine objectively when the moment is when we have continued with this policy for too long. I think that we have gotten very close to that moment."
Knot has flagged his concerns on staying with very loose policy before this also. His warning chime with others saying much the same (hello, German officials)
(ps. I'm doing a bit of a catch up on weekend news for the next few posts)
