Vote on third Senate bill to reopen the government could be coming

Talk of a three-week bill

Senator Chris Van Hollen said a bipartisan group of senators will present an amendment to open the government for three weeks if both bills are blocked. That would allow time for good faith negotiations, he said.

The first vote has already fallen short of the 60 votes needed while the second one almost surely will as well.
