Equities may be recovering a bit from earlier losses, but volatility shows no signs of taming down
After yesterday's record surge of 115%, the VIX is climbing higher as it is now at 40.14.
Volatility has been one of the hot topics of the last two days, with the XIV crashing in after hours trading yesterday.
Even the volatility gauge for European stocks have risen tremendously, and is almost mirroring that of the spike that we saw during the French elections last year - which is only behind Brexit in terms of recent volatility spikes.
