There is no deal yet on NAFTA
The peso was stronger today after reports that the US and Mexico have worked out their differences on autos but this comment reversed the move. The Canadian dollar also slumped.
This shouldn't be any surprise. Maybe some people misinterpreted the NAFTA overnight headlines on autos to mean a deal was done. We already knew major issues were outstanding and that they haven't been dealt with.
