On every 5th day of each month ie 5th, 10th, 15th etc there is what’s called ‘Gotobi’ or importer demand for USD/JPY at the Tokyo Fix which takes place in about 25 minutes time. Not really any special trading opportunities here as the institutions dominate this type of trading transaction, yet it’s good to know that it’s happening.
