Supreme Court to potentially bar challenges to gerrymandering
Gerrymandering is the redrawing of electoral districts in order to favor one party or another. It's been going on forever but it's reached epic proportions as the US as a whole becomes increasingly partisan.
More is to come on this story but it sounds like the Supreme Court is going to rule on whether it's ok for people to try to use the courts to stop this practice. They will focus in particular on cases from Maryland and North Carolina.
