Earlier gains in pre-market eroded
The US stocks are opening with modest gains.
The pre-market gains have been eroded. At the start of the NY session the futures implied:
- Dow implied open +98 points
- S&P implied open +8 points
- NASDAQ implied open +21.75 points
Currently:
- Dow up 54 points
- S&P up 2.7 points
- Nasdaq up 1.0 points
Not a good start given the earlier gains.
US yields have come off a bit but remain higher. The 2 year is up the most (up 1.4 bps). Today the treasury auctions 5 year notes. On Thursday, they will auction 7 year notes.
Spot gold is up $2.40 or 0.21% at $1201.56
WTI crude oil is up $0.42 at $72.52. The high comes in at $72.69
