Nasdaq leads. Dow lags
The US stocks are opening mixed:
- S&P indiex is trading near unchanged levels. It is up 1 point at 2682.10
- Nasdaq is up 33 points or 0.46% at 7217
- Dow is down -125 points at 24893 (and back below 25,000)
In the US debt market, yields are lower:
- 2 year 2.487%, -2 bps
- 5 year 2.464%, -2 bps
- 10 year 2.652%, -2.5 bps
- 30 year 3.015%, -1.6 bps
A snapshot of other markets are showing:
- Spot gold up $4.80 or 0.36% at $1324.78
- WTI crude is up $0.62 or 1.14% at $54.87
The GBPUSD is trading at new session lows and that is helping to push the GBP to the weakest currency of the day (the USD was the weakest at the start of the NY session). The NZD is now the strongest, with the JPY behind it. They overtook the AUD as the strongest.
