Nasdaq record close
The news that the EU and the US could get along, has sent the price of the major indices soaring into the close.
- The S&P is closing up 25.67 points or 0.91% at 2846.07
- The Nasdaq is closing up 91.47 points or 1.17% at 7932.23
- The Dow is closing up 172 points or 0.68% at 25414.
Facebook earnings came in above expectation at $1.74 vs $1.71 but revenues were light.
Revenue came in at $13.23 billion vs. $13.36 billion per a Thomson Reuters consensus estimate. Global daily active users (DAUs) came in at 1.47 billion vs. 1.49 billion expected.
The stock is down -8.17% in after hours trading.
