Not a great way to end the day
The US stocks gave up most of the gains for the day and are closing near the lows. There was a report late in the day, that the FBI raided Trump lawyer Cohen. That may have helped contribute to the last flush lower (see S&P chart below).
The summary of the major indices is showing:
- The S&P closed up 8.69 points or 0.33% at 2613.16. The high reached 2653.55. The low reached 2610.79.
- The Nasdaq closed up 35.233 points or 0.51% at 6950.34. The high reached 7074.95. The low reached 6944.96.
- The Dow closed up 46.34 points or 0.19% at 23979.10. The high reached 24373. The low extended to 23954.83.
All indices are up but all are closing near lows too.
