The US stock indices are ending in the red, but it sure could have been a lot worse.
- S&P is closing at 2474, down about -0.90 points or 0.04%. The low extended to 2462.07
- The Nasdaq is ending down -18.128 points at 6352.33. Its low reached 6309.438. The high is not far from the close at 6355.043.
- The Dow whose 10 day higher close string was broken yesterday, has two down days in a row. The index is closing at 22048.70 down -36.64 points or -0.17%. The low reached 21996.69. The high extended to 22057.19.
Given the earlier declines on the back of the geopolitical concerns from No. Korea, the end result could have been a lot worse, but as often is the pattern, the buyers are not afraid to buy any dip and shorts are simply too scared to stay short for too long.
