Major indices soar.
The US stock market soared in trading today. Amazon traded at the highest level and moved above the $700 level. Oil prices rallied and the stocks like it (for now). Disney and Electronic Arts announce earnings after the bell.
Of the major indices they each rose by near identical % terms:
- S&P rose by about 25.70 points or 1.25%
- Nasdaq composite rose by 59.67 points or 1.26%
- Dow industrial average rose by 222.44 points or 1.26%
Crude oil futures are higher on the day at $44.71 /+2.9%
US interest rates were little changed. The biggest change was the 2 year note at +2 BP. The 5 year was up 1 BP (rounding). The 10 and 30 year yield was unchanged on the day.
