S&P up . Nasdaq and Dow down
The S&P is ending the day little changed but higher. The index is closing up 0.05% at 2160.81. It is still nearer the high (2162.93) than the low (2150.28).
The NASDAQ composite index is closing down 9.168 points or -0.17% at 5306.852. The low extended to 5281.473. The high reached 5315.72.
The Dow industrial average is closing down a small -0.07% to 18268.50.
In the US that markets yields rose:
- two-year yield 0.8496%, +2 basis points
- five year note yield 1.2793%, +4 basis points
- 10 year note yield 1.7389%, +4 basis points
- 30 year bond yield 2.4591%, +4 basis points
Crude oil futures are trading at $50.52, plus $.68 on the day or 1.38%
Spot gold is trading at $1254.12, down $12.63 or 1%.
