Nasdaq down on the week
The US major indices are ending the session with losses. The declines were mostly focused in the tech heavy NASDAQ.
- Twitter fell over -20% to $34.12 (down $-8.82)
- Facebook could not hold early gains after it fell over 20% yesterday. It closed down $1.37 or -0.70%
- Intel, despite beating earnings and revenues, disappointed on the guidance for products and missed on data services revenues. Its stock fell $-4.48 or -8.59% to $47.68
- Amazon which traded as high as $1880 - a new record - closed at $1817 up $9.27.
Overall the indices showed:
- The S&P index down -18.62 points or -0.66% at 2818.82
- The NASDAQ index down -114.77 points or -1.46% at 7737.42
- The Dow down's -76 points or -0.30% at 25,451.06
For the week:
- The Dow rose 1.57%
- The S&P index rose 0.61%
- The NASDAQ fell -1.06%
