US sells 30-year bonds at 3.170% vs 3.175% WI

Details of the $12 billion March 9, 2017 US long bond reopening

  • Prior sale was 3.005%
  • Bid to cover 2.34 vs 2.25
  • WI bid was 3.175% just before the sale

This was a fraction stronger than the market was expecting. That follows a very strong 10-year auction yesterday that helped to stall the US dollar rally. With non-farm payrolls looming, it might do the same today.
