US sells $ 16 bln 30-year bonds at 4.469%, bid to cover 2.26 times

Demand for the long-bond was less robust than the shorter maturities auctioned this week. Central banks and commercial banks are not likely to venture that far out the curve, leaving pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, etc to take up the slack.
