The rumours of a meeting were about yesterday:
Bloomberg carrying the reports now also - Secretary of State Michael Pompeo will travel to Hawaii on Tuesday
- will meet with Chinese officials
- including the Communist Party's top foreign policy official, Yang Jiechi
- Citing "according to two people familiar with the plans, as tensions between the countries run high over trade, coronavirus, the future of Hong Kong and other issues."
As yet neither side has publicly confirmed.
