US retail sales coming up next

November is a key month for sales

The consensus on November retail sales is +0.5% with the control group at +0.3%. There is a secular trend towards earlier Christmas shopping because of Black Friday but this year the event was late in the month so that buying might have been pushed back enough to lead to disappointment today.

The import prices report is due at the same time but is not a market mover.

The data is due at the bottom of the hour.
