US State Department statement
The US has imposed visa restrictions on certain Chinese individuals over actions in the disputed South China Sea. 24 companies were also added to the entity list for helping to build military islands in the area.
The US-China decoupling is on a slow-burn right now but the rhetoric at the RNC has highlighted that the decoupling will continue.
