What to watch is who takes control of the lower house of the US congress
- That is, the House
- The Senate is very likely indeed to remain with a Republican majority
But the House is up for grabs. There are 60-odd 'contested' seats, the Democrats need to win 23 to take a majority
For earlier results, scroll back on the site, but in a nutshell so far:
- Democrats have picked up some early contested seats (one, two, maybe three only so far) … but 538 have called the likelihood of a Democrat majority in the House at 90% based on early counting.
- And folks, emphasis on early … there is still a ways to go.
Update:
- Counting edging back towards Republicans seeing the USD ticking back some of its losses.
