The US Markit manufacturing PMI for July (prelim) came in at 53.2 vs. 52.2 estimate. A year ago the index was at 52.9.
- The Services also came in better at 54.2 vs 54.0 est
- Services employment 54.4 vs 52.8 last. Highest since Dec 2016
- Prices changed falls vs previous month.
- The composite index rose to 54.2 vs 53.9 last month (was originally 53.0).
