US economy jitters - consumers pulling back on restaurant visits

The Wall Street Journal report that "restaurant visit growth has completely stalled in the last three months

  • Visits to fast-food restaurants had been growing at a quarterly clip of 2% since September 2015, but haven't grown at all in March, April or May, according to as-yet-unpublished data from market research firm NPD Group Inc.
  • recent economic indicators may be giving people pause about dining out.

I reckon this is something to keep an eye on.

I must admit I've cut back on restaurant visits.

TBH I am a bit over people with beards giving me my meal on a bit of stone or a wooden board.

Have a shave, bring me a plate. Is that really asking too much? :-D
