We are in earning season and after the close MSFT will be the highlighted release. Expectations are for earnings of $0.68/share excluding items. This is up 1.5% YoY. Sales are expected to come in at 21.71 billion. The outlook for the 4Q is for earnings of $0.79 minus items on sales of $25.84 billion.
Other names announcing include Paypal, chip maker AMD and Schlumberger.
Tomorrow< GE, McDonalds, and Honeywell are scheduled to announce before the opening.
