The Monday data is typically lower for US CDC Covid statistics. Today:

  • total cases increased by 181,032 vs. 213,305 yesterday
  • total deaths, and lower at 1448 vs. 2283 yesterday

The good news is that the case count a week ago today was around 200K and the death count was around 1560. However, data can be volatile.
