Fairly light again
We have a fairly light economic calendar for the session, featuring only low and medium tier releases:
- CHF Credit Suisse Economic Expectations
- EUR German Ifo Business Climate
- EUR M3 Money Supply y/y
- EUR Private Loans y/y
- GBP High Street Lending
- GBP CBI Realized Sales
I've bolded the mid tier releases as those are the ones to properly keep an eye out for, especially if you're trading the euro.
I see that the charts haven't moved a great deal from last night, keeping with my thoughts that the markets are just setting up in anticipation for tomorrow's ECB meeting.
There seems to be a bit of a feeling that markets are at a crossroads again when it comes to central bank stimulus and this is where all the attention is on at the moment. I'm keen to see where EUR/USD actually settles heading into the meeting and as such, today's positioning is going to be key.
We've got another 4 hours or so until 8pm GMT when the data starts coming in, so let's move onto some market themes to watch.
