I posted the headline here a little earlier: US plans to more sanction on Russians this week (re election meddling)
If you are interested in this (I gotta say my level is pretty low) the WaPo have more now, citing U.S. officials ("Officials spoke about the sanctions on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss pending actions" ... probably didn't want to get poisoned either I guess):
- The United States is expected to impose additional sanctions on Russia by Friday
- sanctions are economic and designed to target oligarchs with ties to President Vladimir Putin
- The final number of officials facing punitive action remains fluid ... but is expected to include at least a half a dozen people under sanctions powers given to the president by Congress
