With the US Senate set to adjourn for its August recess before voting on the nominations of Janet Yellen as vice-chair and two others as governors, the Fed will remain under-staffed for some time to come. It will be tough to get much business done when the distinguished lawmakers return from their summer sojourn as focus will quickly turn to the the elections upcoming in November.
