UK trade secretary Liam Fox comments on CNBC
- Does not want a no-deal Brexit outcome
- Says that a UK-US trade deal is to be wrapped up as quickly as possible
One step at a time, mate. The no-deal Brexit talk is continuing to cast a shadow on the pound and Fox's comments look more stand-offish than reconciliatory - which isn't helping all too much.
The French and Germans are also beginning to talk up the growing possibility of a no-deal outcome so that's only adding more fuel to the fire.
