The former Chancellor is hanging up his Parliamentary gloves
Just announced by the paper he recently joined as chief editor.
No great shock considering the money he's been getting from various consultancy roles since being replaced as Chancellor. As well as the Evening Standard gig he's consulting for Blackrock.
Not really market moving but he was the holder of the Conservative seat in his area (Tatton, Cheshire). I'm not sure if it's up for grabs in the locals next month anyway.
I can't say he'll be remembered for anything more that his range of facial expressions.
See ya.
