Not the kind of headlines that will help relieve pressure off the pound as we await fresh developments on the Brexit front. As a reminder, UK lawmakers are set to return from their break on 7 January before debating on May's Brexit deal starting from 9 January.
The meaningful vote is set to take place in the Commons some time before 21 January.
