So says the economic secretary to the Treasury via Reuters
Simon Kirby with the confident comment.
"It is in Europe's interest that London retains euro clearing. If you dismantle it, then you redistribute euro clearing, then it might end up in New York, and then that's not in anyone's interest."
I'm not sure using the "well, it's better here than there..." is the strongest argument to use.
The French can keep drooling for a while longer ;-)
