UK PM spokesman: May is still opposed to second Brexit referendum

Comments by UK PM spokesman, James Slack

  • May doesn't want a long Brexit extension
  • Says that Barnier's comments are 'nothing new'
  • Cabinet ministers will discuss result of indicative votes and the best way to proceed

In other words, they still want to try and get another meaningful vote on the table before 12 April. To be fair, they don't have any other game plan at this point. It's either that or they cave in and May goes before a second referendum or general election comes about.
