Comments by Theresa May as she addresses the CBI conference
It's a bit odd listening to May speak here to carry on with her Brexit proposal and her job when by the end of the day, there could be a leadership contest set out against her.
Latest whispers on that is from The Times saying that there are "firm pledges" from about 50+ MPs to submit the letters by this evening, with a vote to be triggered within two days.
So far, the pound is still holding steady despite all of this. But expect the quid to take a bit of a dip if and when the news is made official. GBP/USD now trades at 1.2865 while EUR/GBP sits at 0.8880.
