Theresa May comments in parliament
- Wants to ensure a good trading relationship with the EU
- Looking at alternatives to the Brexit deal, it could risk a no-deal Brexit
- Whole package of the deal will be brought before parliament
- If future relationship is not ready in time, choice is either backstop, extension of the implementation period, or alternative arrangements
More of the usual from May in the PMQs at the moment. She is to head to Brussels later to meet up with Juncker and that will be the more enticing feature in the Brexit saga today. So far, nothing new here as whispers of a leadership contest are also slowly dissipating for the time being.
