UK officials said to have come up with a new proposal on post-Brexit customs model - report

This according to a report by the BBC

The new proposal is a third model for handling the customs union after the UK leaves the EU, and is reported to be discussed by senior ministers on Friday.

The report doesn't go into too much detail on what the proposal will entail. The previous two models were a customs partnership where the UK sort of acts on the EU's behalf when it comes to tariffs, and a streamlined agreement where a customs border is still needed (and the debate on the physical border is included).
