UK Lib Dems unsurprisingly go anti-Brexit in election campaign message

We've got one party setting their stall out already

This won't shock many in the UK but the Lib Dem's leader Tim Farron has come out declaring his party is the one for remainers.

"This election is your chance to change the direction of our country. If you want to avoid a disastrous hard Brexit, if you want to keep Britain in the single market, if you want a Britain that is open, tolerant and united, this is your chance. Only the Liberal Democrats can prevent a Conservative majority."

They've always been the remain party and this is really the only card they can play, what with Labour backing Brexit. Their recent rhetoric has been on asking for a referendum on the final deal.

The Lib Dems we're the 3rd largest party in Parliament leading to them joining the Conservative coalition prior to the 2015 election. Then they got trounced in 2015 and are now behind Sturgeon and her SNP. They'll now be the party of choice for the Brexit protest vote so watching how they do in the local election in May will be important. If they do well then the general election may not be such an expected landslide for May. If they do poorly, that will likely strengthen May's hand in the market's eyes.
