UK parliamentary committee trying to get FB CEO to appear before them 27 March
- committee urges Zuckerberg to think again on appearing before them
- committee chair says "absolutely astonishing" FB CEO won't appear for questioning over data scandal
Says the Chairman of the parliamentary Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee:
Given the extraordinary evidence we've heard today it's absolutely astonishing that Mark Zuckerberg is not prepared to submit himself to questioning. We most certainly urge him to think again.
Zuckerberg has so far refused to turn up and is sending minions to testify instead. Not good.
FB's sale of data to Cambridge Analytics has opened up a really unsavoury can of worms but no one should be too surprised that's it the FB users who are the product making Zuckerberg his billions.
