Spokesman for UK PM May in response to week-end reports of delay 15 Aug
Ok, so I paraphrase but that's the gist.
- all govt departments are working towards single goal of getting best Brexit deal for UK
- UK PM May is throwing full weight of machinery of govt behind Brexit process
- govt reiterates position that Article 50 will not be triggered before end of 2016
Yesterday I reported that City bods had been briefed and warned of Brexit delays and this statement is in response to that.
I don't see anything in these comments now that appeases any concerns.
