Not new news, as in it's been out here for a few hours, but I thought it was worth sticking up as part of our UK election series of posts
Scottish Nationlist Party former leader- but still highly influential - Alex Salmond is up to a bit of scaremongering by stating they would block any attempt by the Conservatives to form a minority govt by voting against their Queen's Speech. If this did happen then the administration would fall at the first hurdle and the leader of the opposition ( Labour Party's Ed Milliaband) would have a chance to form a government instead
It's a big "if" still as the SNP currently only have 6 MPs but recent opinion polls show them gaining a few more in May and their influence over the Labour Party, indeed the political landscape in general, would be greatly enhanced
