As mentioned earlier, senior ministers are set to meet to discuss a replacement to the customs union membership. The House of Lords recently voted against UK PM May once again earlier in the week, creating a source of uncertainty on domestic politics.
Not exactly the kind of backdrop that the pound needs right now after a slew of bad data points.
