Turkey's Oktay: Tariffs raised in response to deliberate attacks on economy by US

Turkish vice president Fuat Oktay coming out to clarify the earlier report

The mention of the tariffs were reported by the country's Official Gazette earlier and is said to see tariffs on passenger cars raised by 120%, alcoholic drinks by 140%, and leaf tobacco by 60%.

Those are some steep increases. Apart from that, there are also increase on goods such as cosmetics, rice, and coal.
