Trump will open the door to modifying the agreement
Trump plans to make a speech on October 12 where he will start of process of blowing up the Iran nuclear deal, according to the Washington Post.
From WaPo:
"President Trump plans to announce next week that he will "decertify" the international nuclear deal with Iran, saying it is not in the national interest of the United States and kicking the issue to a reluctant Congress, people briefed on an emerging White House strategy for Iran said Thursday."
That would give Congress 60-days to review and consider the next steps.
This sounds like the face-saving measure that's been rumored. Trump will make all kinds of noise but would give the US a way out, because breaking the agreement would be a shot at allies.
