I get the feeling this is all theatre
Hear me out:
Trump wants is preparing to sign off on NAFTA and he needs a win to go along with it. He talks to Mexico about this annual caravan from Honduras and makes a big deal about it on twitter. Mexico plays along but has already agreed to break it up.
It's a tiny price for Mexico to pay (the immigrants aren't even Mexican) and Trump gets to be the hero and say he go Mexico to stop the illegals before a NAFTA deal.
Sound plausible?
Meanwhile, Trump is asking for a 31 mile wall to be built with the US military budget along the Mexico border. The border isn't part of the military budget but the spin here is that it's to protect a base that's nearby.
