Trump campaign had contact 18 undisclosed contacts with Russia - report

Reuters report is hurting sentiment

Michael Flynn and other top Trump officials made at least 18 calls or emails in the final 7 months of the campaign, according to a Reuters report.

None of the contacts had been disclosed and are now being reviewed by the FBI and Congress. At least 6 were between the Russian ambassador and Trump advisers and may have been an effort to set up channels to bypass US national security infrastructure.

The headlines sound nefarious but the report also says the content of the calls were legitimate

"Those discussions focussed on mending U.S.-Russian economic relations strained by sanctions imposed on Moscow, cooperating in fighting Islamic State in Syria and containing a more assertive China," the report said.

The obvious question is: If that was the content of the calls, why weren't they disclosed?
