Toyota Motor will suspend assembly lines at five domestic group plants starting April 3.
- shutdowns are projected to last until April 15 at the longest, but may be prologned depending on offshore demand developments
- the shut down will halt seven lines
- workers will be advised to take paid leave.
Toyota has already undertaken factory suspensions overseas in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and India.
