Tory lawmaker Simon Clarke says today is a crucial day for Theresa May's future

Is he hinting at something?

  • Says that if we continue to support this Brexit plan, there will be no government
  • This is because DUP will not support the current plan

As a reminder, the latest on the Brexit rhetoric is that there are reportedly 42 votes against Theresa May for a no-confidence motion. If that hits 48, we're headed for a leadership contest tomorrow at the Commons.

I'm guessing Clarke's headline comment is likely hinting that they may get the 48 votes soon enough for that to happen.
