Marco Rubio breaks promise to retire
Marco Rubio repeatedly said he would quit politics if he didn't win the Republican nomination. When he dropped out he repeated the pledge.
"I'm not running for governor of Florida, I'm going to finish out my term in the Senate over the next 10 months... and then I'll be a private citizen in January," he said.
Well, shocker, two days before the filing deadline he's had a change of heart.
It's good news for Republicans who may have lost the seat if he didn't run again.
If old establishment politics still worked, Rubio would be the Republican nominee but something is changing in politics and no matter what happens with the Brexit vote or with Trump, that change will come.
