That doesn't sound good for oil prices
Reuters reports that the US has asked some OPEC producers to raise oil output. They haven't requested a specific figure.
The breaking report cites three OPEC and industry sources.
Update: So Bloomberg had this story earlier and Reuters is now just catching up. The earlier report said the US government had asked Saudi Arabia and others to increase production by about 1 million barrels per day.
WTI crude is down 18 cents to $64.57 with Brent down $81-cents to $74.47.
